The Nashville Scene is sponsoring a city-wide Neighborhood Big Draw!!!!
Thank you, Nashville Scene!!

DRAWING IS NOT JUST FOR ARTISTS
No competition, no judgment, all that matters is that you have fun drawing. What are we drawing? We're drawing our houses and neighborhood buildings to get our eyes and drawing muscles in shape and to learn more about our neighborhoods and each other.

Drawing is for everyone! Not just children, not just artists. That means YOU.
Drawing is interesting, enlightening and it’s your fundamental right to have fun drawing!

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE? It's easy!

Meet at one of the following locations
at 9AM on Saturday, October 9th —
Tennessee Art League, Downtown (click for map)
Speaker—Carol Norton
Zeitgeist in Hillsborough Village (click for map)
Speaker—TBA OR
Billups Art Collective (The Building) in East Nashville / 5 Points (map)
Speakers—Christine Kreyling + Michael Kreyling

Bring your own drawing materials (we'll have some on hand for passers by and those without)

SCHEDULE
Morning
9:00 -9:30 AM — Registration + Brief informal talk on local architecture and neighborhood history, plus some helpful tips on drawing buildings!
9:30 AM-Noon — All participants go forth, find a favorite house or building + have fun making drawings!

Afternoon Noon - 2 PM
Submit your drawings where you started at 9 AM

Exhibit and Reception (see details below)
Attend exhibit reception to see everyone's drawings. Mingle, enjoy a snack and surprises at the moveable feast!

Reception and exhibit at Tennessee Art League from 2 - 4 PM
•followed by Reception and exhibit at Billups from 5 - 7 PM

No charge. No fee. A completely free community event.
Just bring some paper + something to draw with. If you don't have that, we'll have something for you.
